J.J. has a diverse background in design that expands a myriad of creative industries. From design for theater, film, web content to live events, museum exhibits, and theme park design, her titles and experiences have given her opportunities to work on a variety of exciting projects.
Her film credits include production design work in feature films, music videos and commercial content for TV and web. Offscreen, J.J. has designed internationally for live events and museum exhibits. Some of these events and exhibits include: Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor and CHILL in Long Beach, California; Hub Zero, a gaming theme park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Mattel's Hot Wheels exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A.; and the current exhibit at The Hollywood Bowl Museum.
Additionally, J.J. has also designed many sets over the years for theater productions and live concert stages, including stage designs for The Second City (Hollywood), Lythgoe Family Productions and Shakespeare Dallas, to name a few. She has worked in a design capacity for such musical artists as Leonard Cohen, The Band Perry and Jennifer Lopez.
Some of her clients include: Out of Our Minds Creative, Tom Marzullo, The Queen Mary, Second City Hollywood, The Hollywood Bowl, Mattel Inc., All Access Staging, Chris Lamb, National Picture Show, MarVista, Dallas Children's Theater, Lythgoe Family Productions, and Shakespeare Dallas.
J.J. received her bachelor’s degree in theater from Kansas State University and her MFA in stage and costume design from Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.
